Intro to Digital: Assignment 3

This piece is meant to resemble the story of, “The Secret World of Arrietty”. It is a story about “borrowers”, small scaled human beings, who live under the house of life-sized humans. In the story they have to go on quests in the large house, which their small house is under, to help them gather materials they need to live. The main character is a small girl, Arrietty, who not only finds a friend in the life-size boy she meets, but she also learns to find herself and her life purpose. I combined the objects in the piece due to the fact that they help give the piece a magical- feeling. The house is much better looking than the house in the original story, but it possesses the same fairy-tale vibe. The mushrooms help give the picture a wild/ nature feeling which aids the house and other objects in being better connected with a rustic, outside home. I also added the bed, bathtub, and can because they are more common house-hold items that not only help put other objects into the correct size category, but they also help give the picture less of a purposefully placed scene and more of a random-set-up life-style.
