Wire, Pantyhose & Gesso:The Anus
The Anus, was created by creating a wire structure and then covering it with panty hoes. The hoes was stretched tight and layered with white gesso. The piece has over 20 layers of gesso on it which give it the white color and its sturdy composition. The piece was then sanded with a fine grit sandpaper and presented to the class.

Foam: My Swamp
My Swamp was created by carving a block of foam into a pre-determined shape. It was then painted with acrylics, and decorated with various found objects, some objects were altered to create specific pieces. This was my first and so far only foam piece. My Swamp taught me a lot about 3D artwork and the processes you use to create it, even though working with foam was not my favorite. I still enjoyed the learning experience, and was happy with the final results.
Wood: Delicate Life
Delicate Life was my first wood project of my art career. I really enjoyed learning how to use all of the individual tools. Due to the fact that my piece required a lot of wait time, from pieces being glued together, I ended up having a lot of free time in the class. I ended up using this time to refine my skills with the bandsaw (which was my favorite piece of machinery). The bandsaw gave me the ability to cut narrow chunks out of my wood-- thus allowing the creation of the origami animals.
Sadly, this piece was being displayed in my studio window and was completely destroyed from a rain leak-- how ironic.
